Why do drug companies put unnecessary food dyes in pharmaceuticals? Even if it is a small amount, it still doesn't justify putting poison in drugs that are intended to help cure a disease.
I was prescribed lactulose (which has blue and yellow dye in it) to help clear ammonia and toxins from my system due to cirrohsis. The last thing I need is to ingest poisonous dyes for my damaged liver.
I was also prescribed Harvoni, which is one of the most expensive drugs on the market, (over $30,000 per month for six months). It was prescribed to cure hepatitis C, and yes, it had dye in it!
